Dear PhD, Master and Bachelor students,
I would like to draw your attention to a half-a-day Symposium Walter Neupert Lecture 2024 that will take place in the Small Lecture Hall at the BMC, Martinsried on Friday, October 4th, 2024 starting at 2pm. This year´s lecture, entitled “Principles of Sensing, Sorting, and Processing of Newly Synthesized Proteins” will be given by Prof. Elke Deuerling from University of Konstanz. You can find the complete schedule in the attached poster.
The Lecture series was started two years ago and was established in honor of late Prof. Dr. Dr. Walter Neupert, an extraordinary biochemist who spent essentially his entire career at LMU Munich and whose love for mitochondria has changed the way on how this organelle is perceived today.
Besides having the possibility to collect a signature for talk attendance you may need as part of your curriculum, you may be interested to know that the Walter and Monika Neupert Foundation offers 1- year fellowships to outstanding students to either start or wrap up their PhDs. For more information on the fellowship program, please visit https://www.neupert-stiftung.de
I look forward to seeing many of you in BMC in October!
With best regards,
Dejana Mokranjac
