Prof. Hans Straka verstorben

Dear All,
by now You have most likely all heard about the unexpected death of Hans Straka. He did not wake up on Friday morning after a heart failure.
I knew Hans for more than 35 years and talked to Hans on Thursday late afternoon in my office. It is unbelievable that he died only 12 hours later - but it is true.
Hans will be buried on Friday 10 am in Oberammergau, where he grew up and where his mother lives. Unfortunately, a trip to Oberammergau via public transportation is very complicated and takes about 2 hours. Hence, please let Simone know if you plan to attend the funeral and if you are looking for a ride or if you can offer a place in your car.
