Galileo International Academy Fellowship

Fellowships are available to attend the Galileo Festival Academy, aimed at bachelor, master and PhD. students.

The Galileo Festival of Science and Innovation, which is scheduled from 9th to 11th May 2025 in Padova (Northern Italy).

The Galileo Festival Academy is an intensive program designed for selected students, offering them the opportunity to participate in festival events, with a particular emphasis on Life Sciences, providing students with exposure to cutting-edge research and technological advancements.

The Galileo Festival Academy, promoted by NEM Nord-Est Multimedia and Comune di Padova, introduces university students to leading figures in the Life Science and technological innovation sectors, showcasing product and process innovations. The program also fosters networking among students from around the world who share a passion for science and innovation, and it provides opportunities to interact with entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry experts attending the festival.

We are pleased to inform you that applications are now open for residency scholarships to participate in the 13th edition of the Galileo Festival Academy, scheduled for May 9-11, 2025. The Galileo Festival Academy is designed for students enrolled in bachelor's, master's, postgraduate and PhD programs.

Since its foundation, the Galileo Festival's goal has been to foster dialogue between the scientific research community and the business world. Therefore, it involves both international research institutions and companies distinguished for product and process innovation.

The Galileo Festival of Science and Innovation is promoted by NEM Nord-Est Multimedia, Il Mattino di Padova, the City of Padua, and curated by PostEventi.

The Academy Program

The program of the event is currently being finalized and will be available in the coming weeks on the website: www.galileofestival.it.

PARTICIPATION IN THE GALILEO FESTIVAL (MAY 9-11):

Participants will have access to exclusive sessions focusing on key topics in Life Sciences, including the latest advancements in biotechnology, medical research, and healthcare innovation.

Benefits for selected students

Over 14,000 students have participated in the Academy in the past 12 years. The Academy offers unique opportunities to meet professionals, participate in training, and join an international network.

200 scholarships cover:

• Reserved access to events and direct dialogue with speakers

• Accommodation in shared rooms

• Meals with set menus

• Transfers to reach the events of the festival (where necessary)

• Certificate of participation

Our fellowship programme covers 50% of the participation fees. Upon selection of the application, in order to confirm participation to the Academy Programme, selected students are required to pay a participation fee of:

Galileo Festival of Science and Innovation (3 days and 2 nights): 260,00 euro

The Academy Program does not cover travel expenses to/from the city of residence.

This is how you can improve your Curriculum Vitae

At the end of the event, you will receive an official certificate of participation, which you can add to your resume as the proof of an exclusive educational experience recognized by leading Italian companies.

Applications are reviewed weekly, so don't miss your chance!

Selected students are required to follow the program of events established by the organizers and to actively participate in the scheduled activities over the three days of the event.

The selection of applicants will be at the sole discretion of the event’s organizing committee; applications will be reviewed and approved weekly until all spots are filled.

Our staff will provide selected students with all necessary information regarding meals, accommodation, and the event schedule, as well as instructions for payment of the participation fee.
