HiWi Position AG Grimm

Starting 01.03.2023 at the Walther-Straub-Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Medical Faculty, Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) Munich.

The Grimm lab is located at Sendlinger Tor and is doing research on endo-lysosomal ion channels, in particular TRPML channels and two-pore channels (TPCs). We use endolysosomal patch-clamp techniques, molecular and cell biology techniques as well as knockout mouse models to study the physiological roles and activation mechanisms of these ion channels in more detail. Our ultimate aim is to explore the potential of these ion channels as drug targets for a range of different diseases, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

To support the laboratory work, we are looking for a motivated student in the field of biosciences. The tasks would include organization and maintenance of the lab as well as assisting lab members in their experiments. The increased involvement in scientific projects is possible.

You will have flexible working hours and be part of a young, international team. Working hours per week would be around 13hs/week. Molecular biological experiences are desired but not mandatory.

We look forward to receiving your application with the usual documents (CV, certificates) by e-mail to:
